Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine is an enigmatic singer, composer and performer. He combines soul gospel jazz and R&B to create a unique blend. Sunshine has appeared on Broadway, during the Democratic National Convention and in European festivals and clubs. Sunshine's real name is Denise White. Though she's located in Atlanta however, her roots lie located in Chester Pennsylvania. There she started to pursue an interest in music, as a singer and pianist at the church. She went to Spellman College in Atlanta where she started her journey into music within the city's R&B scene. She became the primary piano player for Tyler Perry's stage production Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday, who won Tony and Grammy Awards for her voice she asked Sunshine to be part of the Dreamgirls production during Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine gained national recognition for 4 performances a day during the Democratic National Convention in 2008. Sunshine was chosen to perform as part of the inauguration of President Obama in 2009.
