Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell has been a chef, television presenter in the US and an instructor at Institute of Culinary Education. She hosts the Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef and is co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Ann Burrell's Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant chef is a hit with her signature spiky blond locks and pumped up appearance, offers easy techniques anybody can learn. The chef Burrell is also a seasoned veteran of New York City's best restaurants. Additionally, she has learned about Italy's food traditions and the culture of Italy, and the surrounding environment. Growing up in the upstate New York area, Chef Burrell developed a passion of cooking and food early on. The Culinary Institute of America was the next stage for her after she graduated with an Associate of Arts degree in English and Communication from Canisius College Buffalo NY. She states "I was a huge Culinary Institute of America student. I enjoyed every moment." It was impossible to take enough enjoyment from it. After graduating, Burrell worked at La Bottega del 30 in Tuscany and La Taverna del Lupo (in Umbria) as she attended Umbria. She also attended the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. In Italy, she developed a deep appreciation and understanding of Italian cuisine and its culture. This is a huge influence on the way she prepares her food. Burrell is a part of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that brightens the lives of children facing challenges. She is also an Juvenile diabetes research foundation Celebrity Ambassador. she is an advocate for children with diabetes and awareness. She travels frequently around the country in her role in the capacity of mentor and guest speaker where she discusses her professional life and the joy of cooking. Throughout Anne's culinary journey she has often said that I am very fortunate to share my passion to others.
